Bofrid was created to solve a fundamental problem in the rental market: the lack of trust between tenants and landlords.

Why we built Bofrid

The rental market in Sweden is broken. Landlords worry about getting the wrong tenant. Tenants struggle to prove they are reliable.

We started Bofrid in 2025 with a simple idea: what if tenants could build a "housing merit" that follows them between rentals? And what if landlords could trust that every user is verified with BankID?

We believe that when trust exists from the start, renting becomes easier for everyone.
